This gives us access to people who are already engaged with their condition or caregiving role, which improves both response rates and the quality of what participants share.

Every candidate is checked against the study's specific criteria — condition, caregiving role, demographics, or prior research experience — before being put forward.

We design outreach to reflect the diversity of the population being studied, including age, language, and access needs, rather than defaulting to whoever is easiest to reach.
Confidentiality by default
Participant information is handled on a need-to-know basis and is never shared beyond what a study requires, in line with the data protection principles described on our Compliance & Ethics page.

Before taking part, every participant is given a clear explanation of the study's purpose, what's being asked of them, and how their information will be used — in language they can actually act on, not legal boilerplate.

Participants are told what the research is for, what they will be asked to do, and that they can withdraw at any point. Personal information collected during recruitment is used only for the purposes explained to the participant at the outset, and is protected throughout the project.
